Ruth Dean Morris Scholarship

DESCRIPTION
$2,000 to a student majoring in composition or music theory. The student must be an active member of Mu Phi Epsilon, having contributed to the advancement of the Fraternity.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Materials Checklist:

1. Current resume, including Mu Phi Epsilon participation
2. Two current letters of recommendation. One of the letters of recommendation must be from a composition or music theory professor.
   
3. Most recent unofficial college transcript
4. Composers:
1. PDF score of a recent composition
2. A high-quality recording of the recent
   composition. Submission via links to YouTube preferred (or other comparable sites, no Dropbox). Recordings in the Scholarship Application process must not be older than two years from the date of application.
5. Theorists:
1. One recent paper or publication demonstrating original theoretical work (e.g., analysis)
6. $25 Application Fee

Please note that there will be no return of application fee for incomplete and disqualified applications.
